Passion and Emotion

There is a thin line that divides passion and emotion.

For problem solvers, this line is visible to themselves. However, for the rest of the organisation, this is a difficult distinction to make. Often, this leads to workplace issues with people whom I call divas.

Good leaders and organisations can identify such individuals. They provide a support structure and, at times, help the individuals to succeed.

Companies should encourage people to be passionate about business matters and establish discourse so that passion is not construed as emotion.

However, this is a painful and arduous journey and requires enormous patience.
